Arthur Barbosa is a Brazilian violinist, composer and conductor that has been involved with music since he was ten years old and has been a violinist at Ospa (Porto Alegre Symphony Orchestra – Brazil) since 1998 and where he has also held the position of conductor at OSPA Jovem since 2014 .

Born in Fortaleza-CE, he lived in Argentina and Chile, in addition to João Pessoa and Campinas. He has a vast experience in research on Latin American music and its aspects since 1999, and his experience of living in Argentina and Chile for six years as well as traveling throughout Latin America made him an effective researcher of the culture of the Latin continent, exploring its musical culture and all its resulting multiplications. His works have been performed in over 20 countries including eight world premieres of his that were made outside Brazil and he has been composer in residence at several international festivals since 2003 . In 2015 and 2016, he composed the music group of the National Commission for Cultural Incentives (CNIC). He has acted as conductor in countries such as Spain, France, Chile, Argentina, United States, Germany and Brazil. Since 2022, he has been the principal conductor of the National Meeting of Youth Orchestras, in Concepción (Chile). Among recognition and awards, he won the Açorianos award three times (2005-2010-2022) and in 2023 he was the composer honored by the 25th Meeting of Cellos in RS.
