PROGRAM
This year’s competition received a record number of applications – 56 scores were submitted from 24 countries. An international jury selected 11 works for the final. These are compositions for string orchestra, mixed choir, and various chamber ensembles by young composers from Brazil, Italy, the USA, China, Latvia, Poland, the Netherlands, Finland, Hungary, Germany and Lithuania. To maintain anonymity, the jury evaluates the works without knowing the names or nationalities of the composers – the true authors of the works will only be revealed after the final results are announced.
