We are also grateful to all the participants. We received more than 50 works from all around the world, that is why our jury had so much responsible work these 2 weeks. As Ēriks Ešenvalds said, “I am fully working on the pieces – listening, analyzing, comparing them”. All jury members were fascinated with the interesting pieces and were admiring the creativity of the young composers. Our only regret is that we could only select 3 pieces from the Junior group and 10 Main group participants to the final. Tomorrow the scores will be sent to the performers and we will hear them all at the Gala Concert on November 20th in Klaipėda’s City Concert Hall, which will be broadcast live.
Real names of all the finalists will be revealed only after the final during which the jury will pick 3 main award winners.
